What Is Epson Connect

Epson Connect is a cloud print and scan service for Epson printers and allows you to print from any smartphone, tablet or computer from anywhere in the world. Email Print, Scan to Cloud, Epson iPrint, and Epson Remote Driver are the services that are available with Epson Connect. To use the Connect services, you will have to make settings on the user page.

Setting up Epson connect

  1. Download and install the Epson Connect Printer Setup Utility.
  2. Agree to the license agreement and select Next.
  3. Now click Install followed by Finish.
  4. Select the printer’s name and click Next again.
  5. Click on the Printer Registration option in the Register or Remove the Printer from the Epson Connect.
  6. Now click the Next tab to open the License agreement and privacy statement window.
  7. Select the Agree option and click OK when the Register a printer to Epson Connect message opens.
  8. Fill the Create an Epson Connect Account form and click Finish. Click Close.

Detailed instructions for setting up and using Epson Connect service

Power up your computer and make sure the Epson printer is set up with wireless or Ethernet connection. Power up your computer. Download and install the Epson Connect Printer Setup Utility. When the End-User License Agreement screen opens, check the ‘I accept the terms in the License Agreement’ checkbox.

Click Next. Select the Install option followed by Finish. The Select a Printer window opens. Click on the name of your product and then select Next. When the Register o Remove the Printer from Epson Connect screen opens, click the Next tab to open the License agreement and privacy policy statement screen. Select Agree and click the Next tab again.

Click OK when the Register a printer to Epson Connect message pops up. If you have created a new account, fill the Create an Epson Connect Account from and then click Finish. Select the ‘I already have an account option if you are going to register your product with an existing account. Finally, click Add. The printer registration is now complete.

The printer will be given an email address after its successful registration. You can print emails, and documents, PDFs and photos using the Email Print feature available with the Epson Connect service. Attach the item you want to print and send an email to the printer’s mail address.

The Epson connect service also supports the Scan to Cloud feature. Create a Destination List on the User page before utilizing the Scan to Clod feature. Scan your document using the scan to cloud compatible printer and send the scanned files to online services such as Evernote, eFax or Kindle.

You can also send documents and photos from your iOS Android smartphones to a Wi-Fi-enabled Epson printer using the Epson iPrint (3.x) feature. The feature can also be used to scan your files, save them and send the scanned data to online storage services such as Google Docs Dropbox, Evernote, and Box. You can also print remotely through the Internet if your printer supports Email Print.

The printer compatible with Epson Connect can be accessed from a remote environment over the Internet using the Epson Remote Driver. The driver is supported only on Windows. Download the driver by clicking the link below and run the Setup.exe file. Select the Epson Remote Print and give a click on the OK tab. Agree to the license agreement and enter the printer’s email address when prompted. Now open the document you want to print and click Print. Select the Epson Remote Driver, modify the printer settings under the Properties menu and then proceed with printing.
