Simple Steps To Solve HP Envy 6420 Error Codes

Error E0

  1. The Error E0 means the cartridge installed in the printer is unusable.
  2. This condition is when the cartridge stops working and it has run out of ink. 
  3. The ink cartridges could be incorrect, not properly installed, incompatible, or damaged.
  4. You can replace the ink cartridge on the HP Envy 6420 printer, or just restart the printer to see if the error E0 goes.

Error E1 Or E2

The Error E1 or E2 denotes that the paper loaded in the printer does not match the printing settings you have added.

Check Paper Tray:

  1. Take out the paper tray from the printer, then move the paper guides to the side of the tray.
  2. Take out the stack of paper and arrange them accordingly.
  3. Place the stack of paper into the tray and move the guides closer to the printer.

Printer Settings:

Open the printer driver software and make sure you set the proper paper type, Print Quality, Paper size, and also check if the print color is black or color based on your preference.

Error E3 

  1. The Error E3 indicates that the HP Envy 6420 printer has a carriage jam.
  2. Make sure the printer is turned on.
