HOW TO SCAN ON CANON MX922
To perform scanning using the Canon Pixma MX922 printer, install the IJ Scan Utility drivers on your computer. Establish a connection between the computer and printer. Multiple pages can be scanned to a single document.
SCANNING USING THE CANON PIXMA MX922 PRINTER
- Install the drivers for your Canon Pixma MX922 printer.
- Connect the printer and computer using a USB cable.
- Press the Power button to switch on the printer.
- Tap the Scan button and choose your computer name.
- Click OK and use the arrow buttons to choose the document type.
- Tap the right Function button to adjust the scan settings.
- Load the photo or document on the platen glass.
- Choose the Color/Black button for color preference and the printer will start scanning the original document.
SCAN TO COMPUTER USING THE CANON PIXMA MX922 PRINTER
Scanning of documents or photos in Canon Pixma MX922 can be achieved by installing the printer drivers on your computer. Choose your printer model and download the appropriate drivers from the web. Connect the Canon printer to your computer. You can establish the connection via USB cable or by using the Wi-Fi connection.
To connect using the USB cable, install the drivers using the installation CD ROM. Follow the instructions prompting on your screen. Choose USB Connection on the Connection Method Selection. When the Printer Connection screen is prompted, insert one end of the USB cable into the printer. Attach another end into the computer.
Power On the printer. Click Next and follow the on-screen prompts. Load papers into the cassette and print a test page. Tap Exit to finish the installation. To connect using a wireless network, tap the Menu button on the printer control panel. Use the arrow keys to navigate to the WLAN setup. Press OK.
The printer will search for the nearby networks. Press OK in the screen where the Standard Setup is highlighted by default. Choose your network name from the list of networks displayed. Tap OK. Enter your WPA/WEP key and click OK. The printer will connect to your Wi-Fi network.
Press OK, when the printer connects to your network. If the printer is not connected to your Wi-Fi network, verify the network password and try to connect the printer again. Now, the printer is ready to perform scanning. Turn On the printer, if it is switched off.
Tap the Scan button and select your computer name. Use the arrow keys to choose the document type. Press the right Function button to adjust the scan settings. Press OK and load the original photo or document on the scanner glass or platen glass. Do not insert photos in the Automatic Document Feeder.
Choose the Color option for color scanning, or select the Black option for black and white scanning. The printer will begin to scan. The scanned document will be saved in My Documents by default. Now, remove the original document from the platen glass.
