Elaborate steps to install the Epson printer

After purchasing the printer, it is necessary to take the printer from the shipment box. Cut the tape on top of the box to take it out. Keep the printer on a flat surface for optimal functioning. Discard all the packing materials surrounding the printer.

The materials in the box are a USB cable, power cable, installation CD, ink cartridges, user manual, and warranty card. The resource materials may vary based on the country/region. Inspect for any damage on the cable. If not, plug one end of the cable to the printer’s rear and the other end to a wall socket.

Use the Power button to turn on the printer. Raise the scanner unit. Make sure that you do not move the printhead using your hand as it may lead to printer damage. Make a note that you do not touch the white cable in the printer. Use the Stop button to move the printhead to the replacement position. Press the button to check the ink level. Take the new ink cartridge out of its package.

Rock the cartridge for even ink distribution. Remove the cartridge from its package. Ensure that you do not find the chip on the cartridge. Insert the new ink cartridge into its slot and push until it snaps into place. Open the input tray and insert plain sheets of paper into it. Wait until the printer prints an alignment page.

Use the software installation CD in the printer’s shipment box to begin the installation process. Insert the CD into the printer’s disc drive. View the list of files on the system. Select the setup file in the list to begin the installation process. Use the instructions mentioned on the screen to begin the installation.

During the installation process, choose the mode of connection as Wired or Wireless. If you are using the wired connection, find the Ethernet cable in the printer’s shipment box. Plug in one end of the cable to the printer’s Ethernet port and the other end to the rear of the router. After connecting, view the printer name in the list of available devices.
