Canon MG3620 is a simple compact printer used for printing, scanning, and copying. It has a high-resolution flatbed scanner, which is excellent for scanning fragile photos. Some of the other features in Canon MG3620 include AirPrint, Auto Duplex printing, Document printing, Canon Print app, etc. It is a wireless printer so that it can be connected to a computer, laptop, and smartphone easily. Apart from its features, it has some issues while printing. The common problem faced by many users is Canon MG3620 printing blank pages. Let’s see some of the troubleshooting methods to resolve this issue.

  • Low ink level or empty FINE cartridges.
  • There might be an issue with cartridge installation.
  • Due to blockage of vacuum.
  • Due to some corrupted software.

Solutions to fix Canon MG3620 printing blank pages issue:

Check the Ink Status From Your Computer:

  • Open the Start menu and choose Control Panel –> Hardware and Sound –> Devices and Printers.
  • Right-click on your printer model, and a menu will appear.
  • Select Printing Preferences. The printer driver’s setup screen appears.
  • Under the Maintenance tab, click View Printer Status followed by Display Estimated ink levels.
  • The ink status is displayed. Now, you can check the ink level.

FINE Cartridges replacement:

If your Canon PIXMA MG3620 printer’s ink status is low or empty, replace the FINE cartridges.

  • Check whether your Canon MG3620 printer is turned on.
  • Open the front door and then the paper output cover.
  • The FINE cartridge holder moves to the replacement position.
  • Remove the empty FINE ink cartridges.
  • Grab the new FINE ink cartridges and remove the orange tape from the nozzle.
  • Insert the new color FINE cartridge into the left and black into the right slot.
  • Push up and down until it fits into its place.
  • Close the paper output cover and then the front door.

Clear Paper Jam:

Follow the below steps and remove the jammed paper inside the FINE cartridge holder.

  • Turn off your Canon MG3620 printer.
  • Unplug the power cord from the printer.
  • Drag the paper output tray and open the cover.

Note: Do not touch the transparent film. If you touch it with paper or hand, it could cause damage to the printer.

  • Check whether the paper jam is under the FINE cartridge holder.
  • If that is the case, move the FINE cartridge holder to the right or left.
  • Hold the jammed paper firmly with both hands and slowly pull out the paper so that it does not tear.
  • Make sure all the paper inside the FINE cartridge holder is removed.
  • Check for small bits and remove them from the printer.
  • Close the cover.

Remove the Breather Tape from the FINE cartridges:

You must remove the Breather tape because this causes a vacuum in the cartridge and does not allow the ink to come out.

  • Check whether your Canon MG3620 printer is turned on.
  • Open the front door and then the paper output cover.
  • The FINE cartridge holder moves to the replacement position.
  • Take out the ink cartridges and check if the breather tape is removed.
  • If not, remove the breather tape.
  • Put the ink cartridges back into their places.
  • Close the paper output cover and then the front door.

Update the printer driver:

  • Open the Start menu and type Device Manager in the search bar.
  • Click Print queues from the list.
  • Right-click on Canon PIXMA MG3620 and select Update driver.
  • Check if any update is available and click the Update option.
  • Once done, restart your computer and take a print test.

Deep clean the Printheads:

  • Open the Start menu, type Control Panel, and press Enter.
  • Click on Devices and Printers.
  • Right-click on your Canon MG3620 and select Properties or Preferences.
  • Navigate to the Maintenance tab and click Deep Cleaning.
  • Make sure your printer is on and click Execute.
  • When the confirmation message appears, click OK.
  • The Nozzle Check dialog box opens. Here, click Print Check Pattern.
  • Check the pattern and click Cancel to close the dialog box.
